2023 New Chapter Officer Announcement
Dear Boston ASIS Chapter Members,
When I was nominated the Chapter’s Vice Chair role in 2019, I was unaware of what my time with the ASIS Board would consist of. As I complete my fourth year on the Board (third as Chair), I am in awe of the level of dedication, knowledge and professionalism the public safety sector has in the Greater Boston area. These truths are realities that our communities and organizations should take pride and comfort knowing.
Our chapter is more than a network, it is a friendship… a family, bonded in the desire of keeping our communities safe. Often times security is reactive in nature, however the level of preparedness and attention our members exhibit ensure a more proactive approach within the areas we support.
To the many contacts, mentors, and more importantly friends I have made during my time serving alongside you on the Board, I say THANK YOU! Your support and commitment to this great organization and to me personally has been greatly appreciated!
It is a great privilege I introduce you all to the 2023 Chapter Board: Chapter Chair- Paul Baratta, Chapter Vice Chair- Kelsey Carnell, Chapter Treasurer- Matt Gagnon, and Chapter Secretary- Elliot Perkins. Having worked with these individuals over the past few years I know their vision and dedication is focused on progressing the chapter with educational offerings, great social networking events and an increase in membership participation through diverse and varied efforts and opportunities. Congratulations 2023 Board and we are all looking forward to seeing what is to come!!
Recently we had our Gatsby Gambling Fundraiser Event in which we made a little over $2,000 for the Manning Scholarship Fund! Not only did we raise money for our Scholarship but the event itself was a blast! Thank you to all who attended and Thank you to our Sponsors who made the event possible!!
Please join us on December 19th as we join in person to close out 2022 and celebrate the holiday season together. The event will be at 2Twenty2 in Boston from 5:30pm-7:00pm and will be filled with food, drinks, and socializing.
Our chapter 2023 calendar year will kick off with a dinner meeting on January 12th at Maggiano’s where our new board will be sworn in, we will share a meal and have some educational offerings for all!
