Speaker Bio:
Mr. Todd McGhee is a highly respected authority in the field of proactive threat mitigation strategies for critical infrastructures and has been serving his community and the Massachusetts Department of State Police for 20 years. Being part of an elite group, since 9-11 he has used his expertise proactively to combat the threat of terrorism by deterring aggression or attack in high-risk mass transit environments, category X international airports and maritime operations. Today, in addition to being President of Protecting the Homeland Innovations, LLC training firm, he is assigned to Troop F Massport Authority - Logan International Airport as a specially trained officer and trainer of the Anti Terrorism Unit. Concurrently he serves as Defensive Tactics Coordinator for the Department of State Police, a role he’s held since 1998.
Mr. McGhee’s accomplishments are many and include but are not limited to piloting programs that effectively impact on terrorist recognition as well as proactive threat mitigation methodology in which his programs have trained over 4,000 law enforcement professionals and over 6,000 front line civilian employees working in multi-modal transportation systems. Due to his outstanding groundbreaking work, he has been featured in Time Magazine as a member of Logan Airport Homeland Security detail where he has served as the lead trainer of the State Police Anti-Terrorism Unit. In acknowledgement of his pioneering work, he has also been featured on ABC Nightline in a segment titled “Deceit Detectives,” which demonstrated Logan Airport as the safest airport in the United States. Mr. McGhee has also been inducted into the Eastern United States of America International Tactical Hall of Fame.
Throughout his years of experience, he has trained twenty seven police recruit academies and has been responsible for over 3,300 law enforcement professionals at the federal, state, and local level as well as security officers from over 100 agencies including Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Air Marshals Service, USSS, Homeland Security Customs and Immigration, Federal Protective Service, CIA, Naval Intelligence Agency, Transportation Security Administration to name a few. He has also trained law enforcement individuals in almost every major state including New Jersey, Georgia, Massachusetts, Washington, Atlanta, Florida, Memphis, DC, Oregon, Texas, Idaho and Rhode Island. Furthermore, he is an International Advisor Board Member for Monadnock Police Training Council. Adding to his long list of credits, he is a “Less Lethal Force Instructor” for the Massachusetts State Police, received the Department Accommodation for Field Officer Training and has investigated over 87 conflagrations while assigned to the Massachusetts State Police Arson Unit.

Mr. McGhee earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College in Paxton & Boston Massachusetts.
