About the webinar
Ideas, tools, methods, and processes developed from evidence-based research can help security managers assess their training needs and provide effective training and learning options to their workforce.
In this webinar, current research and best practices that work in assessing, developing, delivering, and evaluating security training and learning across security functions will be discussed. Attendees will learn promising methods of training and evaluation that can assess effectiveness and improve the organization's return on investment.
About the Speakers
Greg Allen has over twenty five years of experience in both law enforcement, as well as the security profession. He has worked on the local, as well as the state levels of law enforcement and was Director of Security of a Fortune 500 company. With over thirty years of teaching experience on the college and university levels, he is currently the Program Director of the Security Management programs at Bellevue University. Over the years he has written articles for Security Magazine, as well as conducted several webinars for them on current issues relating to security and law enforcement. Greg serves as the Chair of the ASIS Academic Training and Education Council and a long time participant in the Academic/Practitioner Education Symposium.
Chris Hertig has been involved in teaching and training for over 30 years. He was a Nuclear Security Training Administrator, served as Director of Education for the Professional Security Training Network (PSTN). He's published extensively on training and is Co-Editor of THE PROFESSIONAL PROTECTION OFFICER as well as SECURITY SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT (Elsevier). He is a longtime member of the ASIS Council on Academic and Training Programs as well as the Board of Directors for the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) . Chris is a retired college professor and is both a CPP and Certified Protection Officer Instructor (CPOI).
Glen Kitteringham is an experienced security consultant and course developer who is currently completing his doctoral studies through the University of Portsmouth with a focus on security training. He has authored a CRISP Report on laptop theft, chapters in several texts, and is currently researching security guard training syllabi from around the world. Glen has taught the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) course material in Saudi Arabia as well as the CPP for over 10 years and has been a member of the ASIS Academic-Practitioner Symposium Group, Standards and Guidelines Committee, and ASIS Foundation Research Council. He holds numerous professional credentials including the CPP and CPOI.
