Senator James Timilty
Senator James Timilty is serving his third term as the Massachusetts State Senator. As the Senate Chairman of Public Safety and Homeland Security, Senator Timilty is actively involved in all matters pertaining to police, fire, emergency services, corrections, and homeland security. His past experience as the Chair of Municipalities and Regional Government has allowed him to pursue major public safety reform initiatives that have brought much needed change and assistance to both the local and state level. The 2008 reform of Massachusetts’ 911 Department is one example that has already returned nearly $60 million to support emergency dispatch services.
