About the program: Internal investigations have become a fact of life for corporations, large and small, public and private. Whether initiated by an inquiry from a governmental agency, a shareholder complaint, allegations of sexual harassment, internal compliance concerns, or employee misconduct, these internal corporate investigations often involve Security Directors and other key corporate employees taking a direct role in the investigation.
Unfortunately, internal investigations, if not conducted properly, have the potential to create significant legal exposure for the company. For this reason, it is imperative that corporate directors and managers understand the best practices for conducting an internal investigation, how to avoid common legal pitfalls, and how to best support the internal investigation team.
On Tuesday, June 17th, 2008, Mintz Levin attorneys Joseph D. Lipchitz, Donald Schroeder, and Martha Zackin will share their internal investigation experience and provide a practical half-day educational seminar on internal investigations. The seminar will be held at Massachusetts General Hospital Charlestown from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
