Security Supervisor
Foxwoods Resort & Casino - Mashantucket, CT

Overnight shift; Under the direction of the Shift Manager and/or Assistant Manager, the incumbent supervises assigned work area and security officers. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Must be able to deal with large numbers of guests and remain professional under stressful situations. Ability to remain calm under pressure. The environment is that of a casino floor dealing with the general public in a fast paced atmosphere with a moderate amount of noise and smoke. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Requirements: High school diploma or GED as well as one (1) to two (2) years of casino/hotel security experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Security Supervisor
IDEXX Laboratories - Westbrook, ME

DEXX Laboratories, Inc. is a leader in pet healthcare innovation. The Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the corporate security program and its day to day operations through the contracted Security Service provider. Responsible for making recommendations regarding security matters involving all aspects of security management. Works closely with Senior Management staff of the Facilities Department team and under the direction of the Maine Operations Manager. Qualifications: BS Degree, with preference toward a criminal justice or security background; 5+ years of related experience providing security supervision.


Public Safety Operations Supervisor
Boston University - Boston, MA

This person will be expected to provide services as a public safety Officer within BUMC Department of public safety to provide security, parking, transportation and control center services as necessary. Ensures consistent and safe service delivery throughout the medical center involving all members' institutions. This person will also be expected to utilize the medical Center's core values as the basis for decision making and to facilitate the medical center's mission. Requirements: Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent and six months to one year of relevant experience required. Must successfully pass all background examinations in accordance with criteria defined in Massachusetts General Law - Chapter 22, posses a valid Driver's License and be appointable as a Special Police Officer. Employment at Boston University will require background checks. This position also requires successful results of a medical examination. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred


General Security Positions

Campus Police Officer I
Massachusetts College of Art and Design - Boston, MA

Ensures and maintains a secure campus environment. Incumbents of this position patrol campus buildings and adjacent areas; investigate crimes or other incidents; restrain or arrest suspects when necessary; provide assistance to courts or grand juries in prosecution of cases; and perform related work as required. Work alone with little or no direct supervision when necessary. Act independently and take charge when conditions warrant. General Duties: Patrol buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas of a state educational institution by foot or patrol vehicle; Guard Against trespass, theft, or damage to property; Enforce state laws and the rules and regulations of the institution; Investigate incidents/crimes and handle appropriately including related paperwork; Functions as first responder to medical emergencies occurring on campus, evaluate and/or assist ambulance personnel with transport to local hospital; Assists in providing a safe, secure campus environment providing personal safety escorts, for community members and visitors on campus, security checks of campus buildings on a regular basis, activating and de-activating building lights, trouble shooting hazardous conditions; Operate all MassArt vehicles including but not limited to sedans, minivans, and 15 passenger vans. Requirements: Must have successfully completed training in accordance with training requirements established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee. Must be eligible for appointment as a Special State Police Officer under M.G.L. 22C. Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class 3 Motor Vehicle Operator's license. Appointee must meet all of the requirements for certification under Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 22C, Section 63 as a special State Police Officer and be warranted to receive police powers by the Massachusetts State Police Licensing Unit. Appointee must be eligible for appointment as a Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff. Review of applications will begin on February 24, 2012


Asset Protection Specialist
Best Buy - Boston, MA

As an Asset Protection Specialist for Best Buy, you will support the operation of your Best Buy store by maintaining and monitoring store safety and security, modeling Best Buy philosophy by using good judgment in your decisions and actions, and identifying and applying various Asset Protection techniques to control potential or actual losses. Key Responsibilities: Provide a welcoming and safe shopping experience for customers by maintaining building security and general store safety including proactively greeting customers through direct eye contact and a verbal welcoming; Monitors merchandise entering and leaving the store entrances/exits; Apprehend shoplifters, respond to emergency situations, administer first aid, and react in a professional manner; all using good judgment; Best Buy Asset Protection training required to be eligible to apprehend shoplifters; Assists the supervisor teams in controlling shrink by validating shrink plans to reduce company loss and properly account for inventory; Coaches peers on the importance of an offensive shrink strategy while encouraging employees to play a key role in proactively managing shrink while profitably growing the business. Basic Qualifications: 3 months Asset Protection or Customer Service working experience.


Security Officer
Exeter Hospital - Exeter, NH

Wednesday - Sunday 3 pm to 11:30 pm; On call for 3rd shift every 4th week Monday through Friday. Responsible for maintaining the overall security of the organization. Also assists in the transportation of patients and other information as requested. Major Responsibilities: Directs the movement of equipment and patients; Monitors and interfaces with hostile and abusive patients; Investigates various security issues; Identifies security and transport deficits; Secures and controls access to the organization; Maintains and supports policies and procedures of the organization and the department; Transports patients to and from departments as requested; Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs and stretchers; Collects specimens, cultures, orders and requisitions and delivers to the appropriate destinations; Monitor, document statistics and produce required reports. Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent; Driver license - valid; Satisfactory Driving Record


Security Officer
Mercy Medical Center - Springfield, MA

Full Time; Day Shift; According to prescribed procedures, patrols various areas of the hospital facilities and grounds, and acts to deter loss of hospital, patient, visitor and employee property by intercepting unauthorized individuals and investigating unusual incidents. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of one year prior experience. Working verbal and written knowledge of the English language is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Certification as a security guard preferred.

Director of Compliance & Security

Reit Management & Research LLC (RMR) is a privately held real estate management company. The Director of Compliance & Security is responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the enterprise. This position requires a visionary leader with strong skills in business management and a working knowledge of information security and regulatory requirements. The Director of Compliance & Security will proactively work with business units to develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures which satisfy internal and external standards. He or she will also oversee a variety of IT-related risk management activities, including internal Audit, SOX, PCI and HIPAA reporting. The position supervises one direct report. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated thought leader, a consensus builder, and an integrator of people and processes. While this role is the leader of the security program, he or she must also be able to coordinate disparate drivers, constraints and personalities while maintaining objectivity and a strong understanding that security/compliance is just one of the business's activities and cannot be undertaken at the expense of the enterprise's ability to deliver on its goals and objectives. Requirements: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT positions. Employment history must demonstrate increasing levels of responsibility. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as Payment Card Industry/Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and Mass-201. Bachelor's degree in business administration or a technology-related field. Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials is desired.
